Warhol Museum & Essex Green Market

Spring 2016

Delancey Strip brings both art and cuisine to the public through one continuous outdoor space. It stretches across the site from Essex St. to Suffolk St. An apartment building (south of the

strip) and my mixed-use building (north of the strip), composed of a market and museum, flank it. It includes a public arts exhibit outside the museum and an eating area outside the market.

I saw Norfolk St. as an opportunity for a shared atrium space for the convergence of the market and museum. Pedestrians primarily circulate through the site along the existing Norfolk St. from North to South and along the Delancey Strip from East to West.
